The Journal of Marine Engineering and Aquatic Sciences (JMEAS) is a peer-reviewed international journal publishing original research papers, review articles, short communications, and technical notes in marine engineering and aquatic sciences, with a primary emphasis on engineering, technology development, and applied scientific innovation.
JMEAS aims to disseminate scientifically rigorous and practically relevant research that advances the sustainable development, efficient management, and responsible utilization of marine and aquatic resources. The journal places particular emphasis on marine engineering, aquaculture engineering and technology (marine and inland), fishing and fisheries engineering, and marine- and technology-driven blue economy development. Interdisciplinary research integrating engineering principles with environmental science, sustainability, digital technologies, and socio-economic analysis is strongly encouraged.
The journal provides an international forum for researchers, engineers, industry professionals, and policymakers to share advances addressing scientific, technological, and engineering challenges in coastal, offshore, and inland aquatic systems. JMEAS welcomes contributions that enhance system performance, resource efficiency, environmental protection, climate change adaptation, and resilience of marine and aquatic infrastructures and industries.
The scope of the journal includes, but is not limited to, marine and offshore engineering systems, aquaculture infrastructure and smart farming technologies, inland and freshwater aquaculture systems, fishing gear and vessel technologies, and techno-economic and systems-level analyses of marine industries. Manuscripts employing advanced methodologies-such as numerical and physical modeling, computational fluid dynamics (CFD), simulation, artificial intelligence, remote sensing, digital twins, and data-driven decision-support tools-are particularly encouraged.
JMEAS welcomes submissions from the global research community and seeks to promote high-impact research, technological advancement, and sustainable development in marine engineering and aquatic sciences at regional and international levels.
