The Journal of Marine Engineering and Aquatic Sciences (JMEAS) is committed to maintaining high standards of scientific quality, editorial independence, transparency, integrity, and ethical publishing.
Editorial decisions are based solely on the originality, scientific and technical quality, significance, clarity, and relevance of manuscripts to the journal’s aims and scope, without discrimination based on authors’ nationality, institutional affiliation, gender, academic status, or other personal characteristics.
All submitted manuscripts undergo an initial editorial assessment to determine their suitability for the journal, compliance with submission requirements, scientific and technical quality, originality, and adherence to research and publication ethics. Manuscripts that do not meet these requirements may be declined without external peer review.
Editors and reviewers are required to maintain the confidentiality of submitted manuscripts and to disclose any potential conflicts of interest. Editors with a conflict of interest must not participate in the evaluation or decision-making process for the manuscript concerned.
JMEAS is committed to upholding research and publication integrity. Suspected cases of plagiarism, duplicate publication, data fabrication or falsification, inappropriate authorship, undisclosed conflicts of interest, or other forms of misconduct will be handled in accordance with the journal’s publication ethics policies and internationally recognized standards of scholarly publishing.
The Editor-in-Chief has overall responsibility for editorial oversight, while the final decision on individual manuscripts is made by the Editor responsible for handling the submission, based on its scientific merit and the peer-review process. Editorial decisions are independent of commercial, institutional, or other external influences.
